Not all London music bands are the same!
The large quantity of London music bands is no guarantee of quality. You are only choosing one band – make sure it is a high quality one. Trawling around endless gigs and peeping over high walls into people’s weddings and birthday parties is one option. The much easier alternatives are:
- Do your research on-line. Check out as many websites as you can. Do they give you all the information that you need about the band? Are they experienced in delivering the type of gig that you are arranging?
- Check out the testimonials. Do they sound genuine? Are they recent?
- Word of mouth. Can someone personally recommend a band that they have seen? Watch out for this one though because tastes in music are highly variable!

The next best thing to going to see the band preform live yourself is watching a video of a live performance. These are far more authentic than studio performances. Watch how the band interact with their audience – this is a good indication of how much the musicians are engaging with the guests and giving them want they want. Is the performance tight and well-rehearsed? Do they look good? Are these the musicians that you want at your party?
